The docking station should be used to start the device so that it has a place to go back to when it gets lost.

Can you move Roomba to different floors?

It is possible to use any Roomba on more than one floor. You’ll have to carry it between floors manually because it can’t climb the stairs. Finally, just press the “clean” button and let it do its thing. Your Roomba will locate the second-floor home base and continue cleaning until the floor has been thoroughly cleaned.
