Always keep it in a cool, dry place to get the most out of its shelf life. Storage after opening is best done in a cool, dry location away from excessive heat because of the high moisture content in many varieties of TVP®. It’s a great meat substitute in many dishes because it’s so cheap.

In a vacuum-sealed container, unflavored TVP can be stored indefinitely. For up to a year, you can keep flavored varieties in a sealed container in your pantry. TVP-based dishes should be consumed within three to four days if they are refrigerated and stored in an airtight container.
