- A patient needs to wait for about 24 hours to resume working out
- The workout should not feel like a pain in the jaw
- The workout should not cause swelling around the jaw area
- The workout should not cause a headache
If a workout causes pain or swelling, then you should refrain from the workout. If the workout does not cause pain but worsens the swelling, the patient should avoid working out for a day or two until the swelling goes down. Having a “no workout” guideline is rarer but can happen if there is much bruising around the jaw area.
