Can I use laundry detergent to clean my carpet?

Laundry detergent is completely safe to use to clean your carpet. An excellent substitute for carpet cleaning agents, this product delivers excellent results. However, a small amount of detergent is all that is required.

Can I use Tide to clean carpet?

In place of the pricey carpet cleaner, use TideAs with the cleaner, I’ve found the Tide to water ratio to be roughly equal. Slowly fill the canister to avoid the mixture from bubbling over and exploding. You can also use a small amount of Oxi-clean, but you should first test the colorfastness of your carpet in an inconspicuous location.

What can be used instead of carpet shampoo?

Common household items like vinegar, baking soda and salt can be used to clean carpets. Fabric softener, hot water, clear vinegar, and dishwashing detergent can be used to soften a carpet.
