Does StarBoard come in colors?

Gelcoat can be matched or accented with any of the eight standard colors. Custom/proprietary colors indefinitely. Both sides have a long-lasting matte texture. Never needs to be refinished and is easy to maintain.

Can you polish King StarBoard?

A white nylon scrub pad and toluene or acetone are next (colored pads release staining dyes when combined with acetone). Avoid using MEK, turpentine, or naphtha solvents. King StarBoardfinish ®’s can be improved by using furniture polish or Armor-All® to hide minor surface imperfections.

Can you sand StarBoard?

To smooth out a jagged edge, use an orbital sander or a hand sander to sand the edge of StarBoard. StarBoard is not recommended to be sanded. A standard roundover bit can be used to finish the edges of StarBoard with a router.

Although mechanical fastening or welding of King StarBoard® is preferred, a product called Lord 7542-AB, 3M’s Scotch-Weld DP-8005, or Chem-SetTM 6105 Polyolefin Bonder can be used when an adhesive is required.

Can you weld StarBoard?

Using a plastic hot air welder, you can weld the King StarBoard® ST together. Welders for plastics are available in a variety of configurations. It is necessary to use a polyethylene welding rod. To ensure the integrity of the material itself, plastic welders should be used to weld edge joints.

How strong is StarBoard?

3/4″ Starboard can handle a fair amount of weight if it’s supported by solid frame members that are at least 12″ – 14″ apart. It weighs about 5 pounds per square foot.
