Definitely. There are two ways to bring coffee beans on a plane: carry-on or checked luggage. The weight of your beans determines how you transport them. Coffee beans that are too heavy to fit in your carry-on luggage should be checked, while lighter coffee can be kept in your handbag for the duration of your trip.
