I have never heard anyone that died after showering. But it’s possible if you have an underlying condition. As it takes less than 10 minutes for you to get into difficulty … the symptoms depend on the underlying condition.

I know of one case where a patient died after getting out of the shower. The cause was an arrhythmia which he didn’t have prior to taking the shower… The good news is it’s unlikely you will die from showering after a meal.

What can make you die after showering?

Heart problems, such as irregular heartbeats. In most cases of people dying after taking a shower with varying underlying conditions, the common denominator was an arrhythmia or other pre-existing heart condition.

A stroke or shock is caused by low blood pressure due to standing up too quickly.

If you feel like passing out but still standing… Not a good sign and should probably sit down. It can be very dangerous to shower after eating if you’re on high blood pressure medications as it may cause low blood pressure and fainting. You can also pass out from low blood pressure by standing up too quickly (always take the safe route and sit down before getting back to your feet).

In extreme cases, people have been known to suffocate from blocking their nose, or triggering breathing problems during sleep caused by lying flat for an extended period of time… again, no one has ever died from showering. But it’s highly unlikely that someone will die from showering… but it is possible…

I know this is a myth… but it can be true depending on the circumstances. It can as well be caused by a couple of things that can directly influence how you feel within a short period of time.

It is possible, but very unlikely which means you shouldn’t ignore anything that makes you feel sick, unconscious, or painful.
