It’s okay to eat right away after your dental exam.
Fluoride treatment: If your gums and teeth feel sensitive after your cleaning, it may be because you have fluoride treatment. You may want to wait for 30 minutes more. This ensures that fluoride treatments are given enough time.
You can either seal the teeth properly or allow your gums to rest. So, if you’re feeling okay, we know you won’t want to spoil the super-special moment. You can feel clean and plaque-free by eating a sugary doughnut. There are other food groups you might want to avoid. These are Cold Spicy Crunchy Sticky, and Citrus foods. This is because your gums might still feel sensitive to some of the food groups.
These may cause slight discomfort. It may seem that, at first, you are not experiencing any discomfort. There is very little food you can eat immediately. The good news is that there are many options. After a few hours, any sensitivity that you felt during the cleaning should have subsided. After this, you are free to eat what you want.
Eat Foods Like:
Non-spicy soups are always popular. Chicken soup is my favorite. It’s delicious, but it can be quite messy.
It’s good for your soul and teeth, but it also has a positive effect on your bones.
However, tomato soup can stain your teeth. You may not want to go back to your mouth right after you eat. The next day, at most. You can have scrambled eggs or hard-boiled eggs. Both of these methods are easy on the gums, and they are easy to chew. Bananas and avocados, which aren’t citrus fruits, are good too. Bananas are great for snacking on right after a dental cleaning. They are made with natural sugars that won’t stick to your teeth.
Potassium (used to increase bone mineral density. Avocados, on the other side, are rich in potassium. Magnesium (around 29mgs) is a good source that helps harden your teeth. You may also want to avoid hot, cold, fizzy, or sugary foods. It’s best to get clean after your dental visit.
