Can you pour self-leveling concrete on wood?

Self-leveling concrete can be applied directly on top of a plywood subfloor, which is common in many buildings. Once the plywood subfloor is covered, all that is left to do is apply the desired finish.

Can you put floor leveler over hardwood floors?

I’d advise removing them and installing a new subfloor in their place. Without a primer, you’ll need to use something from a hardware store to seal the floor. After that, any paint will do.

Can you use self leveler on wood?

Using Self-Leveling Underlayment is a quick and simple way to level your floor. Once you’ve dissolved it in water, you’re ready to go. Before installing floor coverings, use the underlayment to smooth and flatten the interior surfaces. The adhesive can be cut back to use over concrete or wood or tile or terrazzo.

Can you use self leveler over plywood?

It’s a resounding yes. As a polymer-based concrete, a self-leveling compound can be used to level just about anything. You must remove all dirt and debris before applying this to plywood. After that, coat the entire floor with a floor primer.

How thick can self-leveling concrete be poured?

It’s possible to use QUIKRETE® Self-Leveling Floor Resurfacer (No. 1249-50) up to a feather edge with a thickness of 5/8 inch (16 mm). Do not apply more than one layer of QUIKRETE® Self-Leveling Floor Resurfacer (No. 1249-50) in an area that is more than 5/8 inch (16 mm) deep.
