Can you wear earbuds with a conch piercing?

A less than ideal answer: It’s not possible to wear earbuds that have conch piercings, at least when it’s healing. Change your earbuds into over-the-ear headphones when your conch piercing heals to prevent snags, irritation, or discomfort.

It’s up to you on the individual, but we don’t recommend using earbuds once the conch piercings are healed. If you’re looking to continue listening to music (we’d like to be a part of yours) ensure that the area isn’t getting excessively irritated.
It’s true that there’s no absolute solution since the degree of pain tolerance is 100 percent unique to your body and you. However, your conch is a hefty chunk of cartilage that surrounds your ear which means you can anticipate feeling a fair amount of discomfort, pinch, and orch (sorry it’s not the real truth) and probably more discomfort than a typical lobe perforation. If you have already had your tragus or helix pierced expect the conch piercing to feel similar.
It is generally advised to wait for six weeks following any modification to your body before acquiring a conch earring, especially if they’re cartilage piercings (or even superficial piercings).
It is recommended to wash the piercing area with the sea salt solution but does not use alcohol.
If you’re worried about sleeping on your new conch earrings, or just don’t know if it’s acceptable There are two methods to decide:
1. If you’re comfortable wearing your earrings for a while If you’re not afraid to sleep on them, go for it. It is important to take care not to risk pulling or grabbing the metal in your ear. This could result in infections.
2. Do not sleep with the piercings you have if they are healing. This may seem like common sense, however when you’re not sure do not rest on it.
