How do birds speak without lips?
Although birds have vocal folds in their larynx, they do not have them in the larynx. The syrinx, on the other hand, is where the vocal folds are located. The syrinx is located at the base of the trachea, beneath the larynx (wind pipe). Birds are able to produce a wide variety of sounds thanks to this internal component.
