Do ball pythons need a water bowl?

Does a pet snake need water?

Yes, all of our pet snakes require water, and one of the simplest ways to do so is to include a basin in their terrarium.

Why is my snake lying in his water bowl?

In many cases, a pet snake sleeping or lounging in its water bowl is nothing to be alarmed about. In some cases, it may be a sign of stress or a medical condition. In the case of a soaking snake, it is critical to determine whether the soaking is indicative of a problem or a normal, healthy snake soak.

Can ball pythons go underwater?

To avoid drowning, do not submerge ball pythons in water. Period. Only half of the snake’s body should be submerged in water when soaking it for a stuck shed. They should never be submerged in any kind of water at any time.
