When you are given laughing gas, it doesn’t take long for it to kick in. In fact, it’ll start working in a few seconds after it starts. However, once it stops, it’ll take a few minutes to wear off.

Laughing gas doesn’t put you sleep, that’s what anesthesia is supposed to do; it will put you to sleep and you won’t even know what happened. However, that’s not the case with laughing gas, it will just make you feel certain sensations and even a tingling in your hands or even your feet.
