It’s recommended that you leave the Saniderm on for at least 24 hours, and no more than four or five days. The more time you can keep it on, the better your tattoo will be able to heal.

What happens if I leave Saniderm on for too long?

No harm will come to you if you remove Saniderm a few hours after applying it. Scabbing and inkless spots can occur, however, if the tattoo is removed after just one or two days.

Can Saniderm ruin a tattoo?

When the ink and plasma are being flushed to the surface, the adhesive is unable to adhere to your newly tattooed skin. Saniderm will never harm or remove your ink.

Can I take Saniderm off after 3 days?

Using warm, running water, gently remove the Saniderm bandage after three to four days. To take the bandage off you must stretch from each side rather than peel it off like a Bandaid. In order to remove the bandage without damaging the tattoo or removing any ink, you must stretch it.

Can I leave Saniderm on for 48 hours?

After 24 to 48 hours, you can remove the Saniderm (clear bandage). This will prevent any irritation to your new tattoo and will prevent ink/blood staining on your bed. Wash the tattoo with warm water and mild antibacterial soap after removing the Saniderm.

Can I leave Saniderm on for 5 days?

It’s recommended that you leave the Saniderm on for a minimum of 24 hours, and no more than four days. Keeping the bandage on for as long as possible will allow your tattoo to heal faster.

Can I leave Saniderm on for 7 days?

No more than seven days of continuous use of Saniderm should be allowed.”
