There is no doubt hot tubs are great. But that doesn’t dispute that it takes some time for you to fill them up with water. This then begs the question, how long those it take to fill them up with water. It will take about 90 minutes to 130 minutes for you to fill up an average 300 to 400-gallon hot tub. But that’s just an average because there are a handful of factors to look out for before you can come up with an accurate number.

The hose size

One of the factors that usually determine how fast you can fill your hot tub is the size of the hose you’re using at that moment. The hose comes in different diameters, where the standard size is typically 3/4 of an inch.
The larger the hose diameter or size, the shorter time it will take to fill it up.

Hot Tub size

It comes in various sizes and designs. You must understand that every hot tub lets you know what volume of water is expected to fill it up. For example, an average tube will need about 300 gallons. The largest will require up to 700 gallons, while the smallest hot tub needs 150 gallons of water. So, the larger the size of your hot tubs, the more time it will take to fill them up.

Water Pressure

Water pressure is yet another factor that determines how soon you’ll fill the hot tub. The more pressure you’re working with, the less time it takes to fill the hot tub.
It is also essential you know that the size of your hose compliments the water pressure. The hot tub size, hose size, and water pressure put all together determine how long it will take you to fill up your hot tub.
