How much air to put in bmw tires?

Writer Gabriel Cooper

BMW recommends a maximum pressure in the tires of 30 psi. This is done in order to prevent damage to the rims and tire. The recommended minimum air pressure for the front wheels is 18 psi and 22 psi for rear wheels.
Factors that determine the amount of air to put in bmw tires:
• The size and type of the tire is a determining factor in the amount of air to be put in. If it is a standard tire, less pressure should be used. This is because the tire was designed for this size and type of use.
• The load being carried by the vehicle also determines the amount of air to be put in. The greater weight that you are carrying, or that is being carried by your vehicle, the more air pressure is needed.
• Temperature of the tire also determines proper air pressure of an inflated tire. This is because of heat buildup due to friction between operating parts and other conditions like higher speed of travel.
How to know when you are at the correct air pressure level of your tires
There is a recommended psi level molded onto the sidewall of your tire. This number should be in the green area as shown on the image. If it is not, then you will need to adjust your pressure level.
You can also use a tire gauge to measure pressure and ensure that you are within the correct levels. Insert the gauge into the valve stem on your tire and release the air. The number that is displayed is the pressure level that your tire currently has.
Once you have determined what the correct psi level should be, use a pump to add or release air as necessary.
In conclusion, it is important to maintain the correct air pressure in your BMW tires. This will help to ensure safe and efficient driving, as well as prolong the life of your tires.
