When the batteries in the remote module are replaced, any previously programmed window coverings will not be lost as a result of the replacement process. The remote control requires two CR 2032 batteries to function properly.

1. Using your thumb, gently lift the Pebble Remote out of the Pebble by inserting it into an indentation on the remote module. Twisting the Surface Remote in a counter-clockwise manner away from the mounting plate will allow you to detach it from its mounting plate completely. Pushing the remote module out of the back of the Surface will allow it to be removed.

2. To unlock the remote module, spin the back cover counter-clockwise until it clicks into position.

3. Remove the rear panel of the remote module from the wall to disconnect it from the wall.

4. Remove the old batteries by gently lifting them up and out with your finger or a little screwdriver, if necessary.

5. Insert the fresh batteries into the device, making sure that each one is securely fastened.

6, Reinstall the rear cover on top of the remote module, making sure that it is aligned with the backside of the module.

7. Rotate the back cover in the opposite direction of the clock to keep it in place.

8. Place the ribs on the remote modules so that they match with the slots on the Pebble.

9. Press the remote module into the Pebble or the Surface with your fingers until it is firmly bonded to the device.
