How To Change Batteries In Sunsetter Wind Sensor?

In the event that it is properly installed and maintained, this sensor will automatically retract your awning and aid in its protection against severe winds during the day.

If your awning retracts automatically every 30 to 60 minutes even when there is no wind, this is most likely due to low or depleted batteries. Changing your batteries is probably a good idea right now. Two AAA alkaline batteries and a small screwdriver are required for this project. Beginning with a gentle push in the direction indicated by the arrows, carefully remove the case from its mounting plate. The sensor should be removed from the enclosure with a tiny screwdriver.

Pull the previous batteries from the battery compartment and replace them with new ones in an exact manner. The green LED light will blink to indicate that power is available.

After re-installing the sensor in its housing, put it back onto the mounting plate, making sure that both the sensor cover and the arrow are oriented in the same direction as before. To ensure that the sensor is functioning properly, simulate air by raising and lowering the awning’s main bar till it starts to fold. After 5 seconds, you can halt the process by pressing the MY button. Your wind sensor is now completely operational. Take advantage of the shade provided by your Somfy-powered awning!
