How To Change Battery In Kwikset Door Lock

Slide its cover-up or off of the door lock from the inside of your door, starting from the inside of your door. Take hold of the rechargeable battery from the top and lift it up and away. The old batteries should be discarded, and the new ones should be four AA alkaline batteries. Replace your door lock’s battery pack as well as the cover on the lock. Keep in mind to properly dispose of any outdated batteries you have.

To remove the existing tumblers, turn its plug upside down and pull it out. Use a key gauge to identify which plugs should be used to replace the ones that are damaged.
Divide each key into five or six pieces, depending on the size of the lock, then use the gauge to determine the height of each segment on either side. Then, from a color-coded variety of plugs, you choose the appropriate one for each area.
Press and hold the program button for two seconds if you have not yet activated a programming code. You should hear two beeps in succession. For programming codes that have been enabled, input your programming code and then hit Kwikset to complete the process.
Before changing batteries, be sure that the system has already been deactivated and that the door is not locked or locked and unlocked. Remove the gadget’s top cover and look at the top of the device for the battery compartment. Take it out. Remove the existing batteries and replace them with four AA alkaline batteries that are the same size.
