Switch off the power and disconnect the vacuum from the dock that charges it. Near where the head of the cyclone is the stick, there is a button, which presses will remove the head of the cyclone and the stick. The battery is inside the head of the cyclone.

Step 2

When the vacuum is working as a handheld then press the clutch button that is located on the opposite end of the cyclone’s head handle and directly on the clear bin. The bin should be pulled gently away from the head of the cyclone.

Step 3

Set the battery on a flat and solid surface, with the handle in front of you. From this position, you will be able to reach the three screws that hold the battery in position. Two screws are located at the rear of the handle, while the third is located in the middle of the battery.

Step 4

With a screwdriver, take out the two screws on the rear of the hand. Then you should turn the vacuum around over and place it down on the side so that you can access the screw that is on the underside of the battery. Unscrew the screw and, keeping the vacuum in the same place, and pulling the battery out.

Step 5

Find the replacement battery, which will include three or two torque screws to replace. Place the battery in the hole in the handle where the original battery was. Giving the battery a solid push to ensure that it is secured.

Step 6

Then next, you must secure the battery using those torque screws. Then, you must secure the screw onto the battery’s underside, and then follow up with replacing the two screws that remain in the hand.

Step 7

Attach the bin with the transparent lid back to the cyclone head, and attach the vacuum stick at the end that is on the head of the cyclone. It is now possible to assemble your cordless Dyson ready to charge.
