Resetting the timer in the clock of your Chevy Malibu is essential following every change in battery and, for certain models, when travelling to an area with a different time zone. The clock has three easy steps you can take for resetting the timer.

Read through each step to locate the correct instructions for your vehicle.

Option 1

• Switch the key towards it’s on setting (DO not start the engine).
• Under the TUNE knob/dial Or just next on next to the AUDIO button, press and hold on the button to turn off HR for approximately 2 to 3 minutes.

Depending on the model the vehicle you drive, you have the option of selecting one of the following options:

1. Click and Hold HOLD the HOLD button to set the hour.
2. When you’ve reached the date you’d like to, push the button. (Be conscious to pay attention to your time in AM as well as the PM that is displayed along alongside the time).
3. Press and hold on to the button MN button to set the time you’ve set. DELETE the button once you’ve set the right time.

Or Use the buttons UP and DOWN to determine the HOUR as well as the MINUTE. Finally, click the AUDIO button to establish an hour.

Option 2

1. The button is located under the button FAV. button Press the button using an CLOCK or the word CLOCKon It is located below the FAV button. Press it.
2. Just below next to the MENU next to the MENU button Click on the buttons that correspond to the hour and minute displayed on the screen.
3. After you’ve adjusted the time you have set, press the button that has a CLOCK next time to set the home button the time you’ve set.

Note: If you’re in a position to not establish the Time at the first try you can repeat the process. If you’re still not successful you can contact the dealer for assistance or refer to the manual for your vehicle’s user.

For Models with a Navigation Screen:

1. The key should be turned into its On position (DO NOT turn the ignition on).
2. Click on the Home button to go to your main display.
3. Select SETTINGS.
4. Select DATE and TIME and then tap SET TIME. Be sure to select the format for your time that you prefer, by tapping either 12h or 24h.
5. Make sure you set the right timing by using buttons to UP and down for the HOUR and Minute, and AM and PM.
6. If there’s no save button or a SAVE button, you can press on the button for BACK in the upper right corner or press the HOME button after you’ve entered the date.

The correct time should be displayed on the home screen. By turning on the GPS TIME will enable the system to adjust your time automatically depending on the current whereabouts. This feature will modify how your time is calculated when you enter an area with a different time zone.
