Change Oil Pan Gasket On 2002 Ford Mustang

1. Remove the radiator sight shield, and then go to step two.

2. Removing the coolant recovery reservoir will free up space in your system. Remove the hose and discard it. Remove the coolant recovery reservoir by removing the bolts.

3. Easily install the special tool. Use a hoist to raise the car.

4. Remove the nut on the LH side of the engine mount.

5. The vehicle should be lowered all the way. Turn the engine up to full power. Use a hoist to raise the car.

6. Drain the engine oil by removing the oil pan drain stopper.

7. Remove the starter motor and set it aside for now.

8. Set aside the bracket for the wiring harness.

9. The oil pan bolts should be removed.

10. Remove the two bolts on the top of the subframe.

11. IMPORTANT: Do not remove the bolts all the way.

12. Remove the oil pan from the stove.

Installation:

1. The oil pan must be placed after four minutes. Reapply sealant. Clean the oil pan sealing surfaces and apply the sealant as described. Install the oil pan rear seal. Sealant the rear main bearing cap. Install the oil pan to rear seal.

2. Clean the metal surface with a soft cloth.

3. Seal the joints with silicone sealant and a gasket.

4. The oil pan should be in the proper place, and the bolts should be started.

5. Tighten the bolts in two stages.

6. Five Nm is the maximum amount of tightening that should be done.

7. Tighten to 10 Nm (89-inch lbs.).

8. The bottom bell housing bolts should be installed at this point as well.

9. Install the drain stopper in the oil pan after removing the pan from the stove.

10. Assemble the front subframe by bringing it up to the desired height.

11. Tighten both bolts until they are snug.

12. The two bolts must be put in place.

13. Install the four bolts on the bottom of the subframe.

14. Set the safety stand aside.

15. Put the bracket in place.

16. The starter motor should be installed

17. Reduce the vehicle’s height.

18. Reduce the engine’s power.

19. Raise the car to a standing position.

20. Install the engine mount nut on the RH side of the engine.

21. Install the engine mount nut on the left-hand side.

22. Bring the car to a halt.

23. Dispose of the specialized equipment.

24. Set up the coolant recovery system.

25. Install the radiator sight shield, and then close the radiator.

26. Install the tubing from the air cleaner’s outlet.

27. Connect the ground cable of the battery.

28. Clean engine oil should be added to the engine before it is started.
