How to clean a nitro engine

Nitro engines are quite different from gasoline engines. They’re more powerful and need more attention, but they’re also much more forgiving. So here we are going to discuss how to clean a nitro engine.

The first thing you need to do is remove the air intake and the air box. The airbox is located at the bottom of the engine. You will have to remove one or two bolts on top of it, depending on what kind of engine you have. You will also have to remove a few things inside the air box, such as your battery and other things that may be in there.

Once you have removed these things, you can take off the cover over your spark plugs. These are located behind your spark plugs, so they should be easy enough to get at without removing them. Once they are off, clean them out with some carburetor cleaner and a brush. Make sure not to get any dirt in them or onto anything else.

Next, you need to clean out all of the oil from around your timing chain cover and everything else on top of your engine block. This oil should be easy enough to remove with a rag and some oil soaked rags or paper towels. Take care not to get any dirt into this area because if it does happen then it could cause problems later on down the road!

In the end, it’s worth mentioning that there are plenty of great cleaning kits on the market. But you can assemble your own, too. Just make sure you have all the materials necessary to clean your engine before the track day, and get in the habit of sprucing up after every outing. At a minimum, that means checking for leaks and changing out your glow plug and fuel filter every week or two.
