You don’t require any flash device or computer or alternative USB driver to update the firmware of the Samsung Galaxy A5 with this method. All you need is a flash file. Use these instructions to flash firmware from stock using recovery mode.
Method 1
- First, download the flash files.
- Next, transfer the firmware file onto an SD memory card. ( Don’t put the file in the directory). Get your SD card from your phone.
- Switch off your Samsung Galaxy A5, by pressing your power button.

- Volume Up and Power Button. Release both buttons once you notice that the Android Exclamation Mark appears. Then while pressing on the power button let go, and hold the volume up button. Navigate by pressing The Volume Buttons and select erase option, or the factory reset option, and then click the Power Button. After that then, press the Volume Button again, selecting Yes, and after that, press Power to confirm.

- Then insert the SD card. Go back to recovery mode.
- Choose the Apply update from the SD cards option.
- Find the downloaded Firmware file from Storage.
