It is possible to accidentally apply your makeup in your car because of our hectic lives. This can cause damage to your leather car seats. 1. Use a cloth that is dry to remove any makeup. However, be careful not to smudge it further.
  2. Use warm some water mixed with mild dish soap to make the mixture.
  3. Apply the foam to the stain carefully with a sponge.
  4. To wipe away the stain and foam, use a soft, clean cloth.
  5. Cornmeal or another absorbent can be applied to the oily residue if it is still oily.
  6. Allow the absorbent to finish its job overnight
  7. Use a stiff bristle brush to remove the absorbent. If possible, shake the absorbent off the leather surface.
  8. You may need to do it again if the greasy stain remains.
  9. To prevent the leather from cracking and drying out, use a leather conditioner after the stain has been removed.

Here are some more guidelines to follow when taking off makeup from leather upholstery:

  • Do not use harsh chemicals and detergents as they can cause irreparable harm to the leather
  • Be sure to remove any makeup stain as quickly as you can, since it could become oxidized once dry, and may become difficult to remove after a while.
  • A different method is using an ammonia solution of 10% that is a light solution and then applying it to the stain using the help of a cotton pad. It should sit for a few minutes, then sprinkle your area in baking soda. After letting it rest for a few minutes, rinse it off using a soft sponge and warm water, along with a small amount of mild dishwashing solution.
  • Because lipstick staining is more oily, it is possible to apply a mild dishwashing detergent directly to the stain, then rub it gently using the soft sponge

If the stain can’t be removed with the above techniques, you might look into an expert upholstery cleaning service to help you bring back the original appearance of your leather furniture.
