Using a spray bottle, apply the solution to the oil stain and wash it after leaving it for sometime. Work in small portions and repeat as necessary to thoroughly clean the entire wall surface. If the area is large, collect the oil stain with several rags to make it easier to remove.

When removing stains, spray the solution over the stain using a spray bottle and scrub the spot away with a nylon sponge or brush. When working with ammonia, gloves and appropriate ventilation are required.
Trisodium Phosphate is an extremely effective cleanser. It is possible that incorrect application will result in discomfort and even burn. Using rubber gloves and long sleeves, workers can keep their skin and eyes protected from the liquid. Indirect contact with TSP can discolor paint, wood, and metal. Begin with 1/4 cup TSP per gallon of hot water and gradually increase. The suggested amount of TSP per gallon of water is 1/2 cup TSP per gallon of water. To avoid leaks, wring out the solution as much as possible. Reduce streaking by working your way up. After two minutes, scrub the oil stain with a nylon scour pad. Rinse the damaged area thoroughly to remove any residue that may hinder paint adhesion.
