There are a few ways that you can reset the BMW ABS light. The first is to use a scan tool. The second way is to disconnect the battery for a certain amount of time. The third way is to use an ignition key trick.
The scan tool method is pretty straightforward. All you need to do is connect the scan tool to the car and reset the ABS light.

The battery disconnection method is a little more complicated. You need to disconnect the battery for at least 10 minutes. After you reconnect the battery, start the car and wait for the ABS light to go out.
The ignition key trick is even easier. Turn on the ignition, but do not start the car. Hold the key in the start position for 10 seconds. After 10 seconds, release the key and wait for the ABS light to go out.

Whichever method you choose, make sure to reset the BMW ABS light as soon as possible. The sooner you reset it, the sooner you can get your car back on the road.

Why do you need to reset the bmw abs light?

The BMW ABS light is a warning light that indicates a problem with the ABS system. It may come on for a variety of reasons, but it’s important to reset it as soon as possible. If you don’t reset the light, it could indicate a more serious problem with the ABS system.

How long does it take the BMW ABS light to reset?

It takes only a few minutes for the ABS light to reset. It’ll change from solid yellow to flashing yellow. Once it’s flashing, you can start your car again without any problems. If this doesn’t happen right away, don’t worry. Just continue to wait for 10 or 15 minutes before trying again.

What does it mean when the ABS light is solid yellow?

The ABS light comes on solid whenever one of two things happens: Either the ABS system isn’t working at all, or you’re having a malfunction that’s not serious enough to trigger all of your car’s safety systems. If the light is solid, you’ll want to take your car in for service.
