Scabs will form at the graft sites within 24 to 72 hours of surgery and will fall off in 3-10 days. You may notice that hair is shed along with the scabs as they fall off. THIS IS TO BE EXPECTED. Picking or scratching the scabs can cause infection and jeopardize the grafts’ survival.
