  • Set the control knob to hi.

Now let’s set the control knob to the highest setting. To do this, push it in until it clicks, and then push it farther until you feel resistance. You should now be able to spin your control knob without it moving back on its own. Finally, turn your control knob, so the red indicator says “HI” (hot). This is important because if you don’t do this, your toyostove laser 73 doesn’t work!

  • Press the ON/OFF button.

To turn your Toyo stove laser 73 on, press the ON/OFF button. To turn your Toyo stove laser 73 off, press the ON/OFF button again.

  • The afterburn chamber is hot. Wait 4 minutes.

The burn chamber will go through different phases of heating up. First, it’ll take about 4 minutes to heat up to its maximum operating temperature of 1,000 degrees Celsius (1,832 Fahrenheit). Then the burn chamber will stay at that temperature for another 10 minutes before cooling down. You can keep track of these phases by using the timer on your phone or tablet and watching how long it takes for each step to happen. When your toyostove laser 73 heats up thoroughly, you’ll see a message saying “Burn Chamber Ready!” appear below all other messages in the middle column of buttons.

Once the burn chamber has reached maximum temperature, wait at least five seconds before putting any material inside it, or else it could melt too quickly and cause damage.

Push Primer three times.

  • To start the laser, you must push the primer three times in rapid succession.
  • If it does not ignite after the third push, wait a few minutes and try again.
  • If it still does not ignite, your control knob may be set to low (which means you will have to wait five minutes before attempting to start again).

The heater should ignite and start running.

The heater should ignite and start running. It will run for about 20 minutes, then automatically shut off. After it has cooled down, it should restart itself. If you’re having trouble getting the heater to start, make sure there is propane gas in your tank – if there isn’t enough gas in the tank or if you’re using a different kind of fuel than what’s recommended for your stove (for example liquid petroleum instead of liquid alcohol), this may be the source of your problem.

Conclusion

If these steps don’t get your Toyostove Laser 73 up and running, then there may be a problem with your heater’s thermostat. Call a professional to come to check on it for you if this is the case!
