Fortunately, there are a few ways to stop traffic updates on your car radio. One way is to simply turn off the traffic update feature on your radio. To do this, press the “Menu” or “Settings” button on your radio and look for a menu option that says “Traffic.” If the traffic update feature is turned on, you will see an “On” or “Off” option. Toggle the setting to off to stop traffic updates from playing.
Another way to stop traffic updates is to mute your car’s stereo whenever they come on. To mute your stereo, press the “Mute” button on your car’s steering wheel or press the “Mute” button on your cars stereo. This will silence all sound coming from your car’s stereo for as long as the mute button is activated.
You can also try pressing the “Scan” button on your radio to stop traffic updates. The scan feature will play all of the stations on your AM/FM dial, one at a time, until it finds a station that has an active broadcast. If you press the scan button again, it will move on to the next station and play over any existing traffic reports.
