The Nigerian Military wives have been experiencing a lot of hardships in the barracks. They face hunger, prostitution, and other forms of dehumanizing treatment from soldiers in barracks. In addition, they are not treated properly when one is pregnant or breastfeeding her baby at home.

Should you have a wife working in any of these places and she has just returned, here are some gestures that will make her happy and excited to see you.

1. Clean your whole apartment. Make sure the floor is shining like a mirror, windows are cleaned very well (in case there were any), sweep the whole house, clean thoroughly with soap or detergent, every corner of the house must be shining with cleanliness.
2. .Make your bed neatly using new sheets and pillowcases on top of your bed or mattress at least two days before she comes back home. Air out your room by opening the windows wide if it smells too bad which may not smell good for her coming back after staying away from home for so long in barracks or maternity.
3. Buy fresh flowers around town before she returns home. The more the variety of colors you choose, the better it will be. A white flower is also an option if you really don’t know what she likes.
4. When your wife comes back home, the first thing she’ll like to see in her room (if everything will be in order). When she opens your door, put on some nice music. It can either be the gospel or soft rock or anything that will not annoy her coming from barracks or maternity with a loud noise.
5. After she has rested for some minutes and done with talking to her people outside who brought her back home, now it’s time to surprise her with the flowers you bought earlier around town even though you are not too sure about how many days it’s been since she left home.
