Is rose quartz safe in water?

What are rose quartz?
Rose quartz are a type of quartz, specifically rose-colored quartz. The word “rose” may also be used to describe coloration to pink or reddish hues in the purest white quartz stones such as those from Madagascar and Brazil.
Is it safe to use rose quartz water?
Rose quartz water is usually safe to drink, but it’s important to note that the stone itself isn’t a natural purifier. It does not cleanse water, nor can it magically infuse it with health benefits. The idea behind allowing stones such as rose quartz to come into contact with your drinking water is that the stone will absorb negative energy and the water will be cleansed as it passes through the stone.
What benefit does rose quartz water have?
Rose quartz water is meant to be a replacement for tap water as it does not contain the chemicals found in some types of tap water. In addition, rose quartz has been said to help with negative energy and emotions. Other crystals and stones have similar positive effects on various aspects of life such as wealth, fertility and love.
Drinking rose quartz water will most likely not cause any great harm unless you start drinking large quantities or ingesting the stone itself which is usually too hard for human consumption. However, drinking this type of water every day may eventually allow small amounts of the stone to dissolve into your body through your intestinal tract resulting in tiny particles of the crushed up crystal being found in stool samples, so if you do drink this type of water regularly you should consider talking with your doctor and perhaps doing a full blood workup to ensure no harm comes from drinking the water.
How should I prepare my crystal for drinking?
It’s recommended that you cleanse your crystal before placing it in water- this can be done by either leaving the stone in the sunshine for a day or running it under lukewarm water.
In addition to cleansing, make sure to thoroughly dry your stones. Using a cotton cloth is usually best as paper towels and tissues sometimes contain chemicals that can damage the stone.
