Asian elephants will eat for as much as 16 hours per day, which is a lot of hours for an animal to eat. It is also said that Asian elephants can eat as much as 300 pounds of food in a single day, which is incredible and just goes to show that they eat a lot each day.

Also, Asian elephants eat bamboo, wild fruits, shrubs, shoots, flowers, seedings, and more. However, grass is the main thing that Asian elephants eat. In the wild, Asian elephants will mainly eat grass, leaves, and stems, etc. Asian elephants will eat various plant species like palms and legumes.
