Insects, Animals, and Fish

Crawling beneath the rocks, bristle worms use their appendages to collect food items in the surroundings. Using their elongated bodies, bristle worms forage for food items.

Bristle worms, however, consume dead organisms along with the waste. Bristle worms don’t eat live fish, but they do snack on it if it is dead floating in the tank.

These beneficial scavengers feed on dead material including that of animals and plants. Hence, bristle worms eat algae, phytoplankton, and diatoms. Bristle worms swallow and filter the detritus and other waste material found in the water.
