Musk turtles can eat seeds, algae, and invertebrates, but they mostly consume aquatic animals. Musk turtles are native to Southeastern Canada and the Eastern United States. These are small turtles and are also known as common musk turtles. They are found in lakes, marshes, ponds, swamps, and in slow-moving streams and rivers.

Aquatic animals

Musk turtles feed twice per day, and they eat a lot. In captivity, musk turtles can eat cut-up shrimp and fish, crickets, bloodworms, and earthworms. They also eat turtle food in captivity.
