The lower radiator hose, where it meets the engine, is where you’ll find it.
Where is the thermostat located at?
Temperature sensors are typically located near the water pump on the cylinder head and connected to the top radiator hose via a housing. The thermostat may be located near the bottom hose on some vehicles.
How do you know if the thermostat in your car is bad?
Immediately upon entering the vehicle, you’ll notice that the temperature gauge is higher than normal. It’s possible that it’ll become more volatile. Overheating can cause damage to your thermostat if the gauge rises more than three-quarters of the way to the top. This can lead to engine and car overheating in a short period of time.
