If it’s watery, your baby squirrel has diarrhea. For a couple of feedings, dilute the formula with water (approximately 1/2 water, 1/2 formula), then continue with a full-strength formula. It’s possible that the baby was a little dehydrated. Overfeeding is another cause of watery stools.

Squirrel droppings are very similar to rat excrement. Squirrels and rats both generate dark brown, smooth feces, but squirrels make larger barrel-shaped pellets, whilst rats produce small, oblong-shaped droppings with tapering ends.
