When Your Dog Sleeps Between Your Legs
Dogs have very interesting sleeping habits. Dogs will sleep for all hours of the day and in many different positions. Also, they will pick and choose when and where they want to sleep.
On the other hand, some dogs have sleeping routines. This pretty much means that they will sleep in the same position and place on a consistent basis. So, this can depend on the kind of dog that you have.
Safe
Interestingly, dogs love to feel safe. As a result of this, they will sleep in a position that makes them feel as safe as they possibly can. How a dog sleeps, has a lot to do with how they feel. If your dog sleeps between your legs, it could be because it feels safe in that particular position. In that position, your dog is able to feel the safety and warmth of your body.
Comfortable
Another reason why your dog might sleep between your legs is because it feels comfortable. After all, a dog wants to feel comfortable. The more comfortable your dog feels, the faster and easier it will be able to sleep. Perhaps, your dog feels really good when it sleeps between your legs.
Stiff Joints
It is also possible that your dog is suffering from stiff joints. If that’s the case, then your dog is going to sleep in a position where it feels more comfortable and relaxed. So, it could just be that sleeping between your legs is the best way for your dog to deal with the stiff joints that it has.
Conclusions
If your dog likes to sleep between your legs, it doesn’t mean that some thing is wrong with your dog at all. Your dog can be comfortable or even feel safe in that position. Also, in general, dogs love to be next to their owners and other people. So, it might just be that they find themselves in that position, which happens to be between your legs.
