It can be very difficult to have a girlfriend that is a narcissist. You’re probably going through a very toxic relationship that is causing you much pain and problems in your life. It is definitely not easy being with a narcissist.

In fact, these kind of relationships are usually very toxic and problematic. You don’t want to constantly be arguing and fighting over things that are simple or could easily be addressed.

However, narcissists don’t feel empathy or anything that could be considered real love. Instead, they are more likely to care about themselves and not you. So, you can spend your time talking and explaining things and still get nowhere.

It is bad when you’re having a conversation about something and your girlfriend is not really listening or paying attention to what you’re saying. Instead, she’s just waiting for her turn to say something back to you without even understanding what you said in the first place.

A lack of empathy is one of the biggest problems that narcissists have to deal with. The problem is also that when you first meet a narcissist, she  might be very nice to you. Probably, she gives you all the love and affection that you want. However, as time goes by all of these things start to change. The love and affection that you once had is no longer there. This is when you will see her true color.

Also, a narcissist will try to be perfect in the eyes of everyone else. Behind the scenes, the relationship could be very bad, however, your girlfriend can put on a show in front of your friends, family, and coworkers to make it seem like everything is just fine when it’s not at all. Unfortunately, this is what narcissists do.

Also, they are very manipulative. You’ve probably experienced certain things were your girlfriend tries to manipulate you and control you. Also, it could just be that you’re trying to explain things to her about what she did wrong, but she turns it around and make it seem like you’re the one that did something wrong. This is the kind of manipulation that a narcissistic girlfriend will do.

I recommend that you talk to your girlfriend about her problem or do what you can to get her help. If not, you’re not going to be happy being with her. Either way, you have a decision to make. You have to realize that you can’t change someone unless they want to change. If your girlfriend is willing to admit that she has a problem and needs to work on it, then you might be able to get somewhere. If not, it’s only going to be a long and bumpy road ahead for you.
