Why is my Lexus beeping?
Ethan Hayes
This is because of the following reasons:
1. The smart key has been authorized already or it is within a certain authorized distance of the vehicle.
2. You have moved too far away from your vehicle, and if it cannot remember, where it was parked.
3. Another reason could be that the battery on this particular device is running low and needs to be replaced.
The smart key will generally emit a warning sound at first; unless you are within a certain distance from your car then it will emit an alarm noise for about 5 minutes.
You will need to press the button on your fob twice in order to stop these sounds from emitting from your keys. Once you have done this, you may return to whatever task you were doing prior before being interrupted by this loud sound.
The distance in which you can go before the alarm noise emits from this device is approximately 9 meters, otherwise, your smart key needs to be replaced.
In some cases when your battery on this particular device is low, it will emit a red light from it rather than an alarm sound. However, when the battery is completely drained then this device will emit a loud siren noise from it until you replace the batteries or get closer to your vehicle where you can press the button on your fob once again and stop these sounds.
You might need to take out the batteries and place them back inside of this particular device if there is no sound emitting from it. If there is no red light emitting from it either .If these solutions don’t work then you might need to take your car to the dealership in order for them to help you fix this problem.
