Are oz tents waterproof? - Kylon Powell

For all RV tents, Oztent provides a fly. It’s made of polyester and simply zips onto the top of the tent to cover the main part of it. The fly is not required because the tent is completely waterproof even without it.

Their tents can be seen all over the world, and they have revolutionized the way we camp. We are very pleased with our Oztent and have had a lot of fun with it. Look no further than the Oztent RV5 if you want a high-quality tent that is easy to set up and can withstand harsh Australian conditions.
Is the Oztent a good buy?
The standard Oztent comes with a front awning, poles, pegs, and rope. If you happen to need more space, you can buy awning sides and a front panel. This effectively provides you with a second room and is well worth it.
Is it necessary to season Oztent?
Yes, all canvas must be conditioned. We had the RV5 and tag a long up for a week, watered down morning and night, no leaks, and left it up in 50km/h winds with no problems. The Oztent is claimed to be completely waterproof.
Is it necessary to season a nylon tent?
Both nylon and canvas tents will do so because coatings have been applied to aid in water resistance. Canvas tents may need to be “seasoned” in order for the canvas to shrink and become waterproof. Nylon may not get rot, but it will get mildew.
What exactly is an instant up tent?
The integrated steel frame is actually attached to the inner tent, making setup a breeze. Simply lay it down, spread out the fabric, and extend the poles out from the hub until it locks into place. There’s something for everyone in the Coleman Instant Up Series, which includes three different models.
