In the same way that a human skin is porous, genuine leather isn’t completely impermeable. A leather bracelet can become stained, discolored, or deteriorated if it is exposed to water. The first thing to do if your leather bracelet gets wet is to gently brush it off.

Are leather bracelets durable?

Unfortunately, the most significant drawback of a leather bracelet is that it will eventually fall apart. By avoiding getting them wet and participating in sports while wearing them, you can extend their life expectancy. To prevent cracking, keep them clean at least once a year to help keep them supple.

How long does a leather bracelet last?

Depending on the type of leather and how well it is cared for, a leather watch strap can last anywhere from six months to four years. A genuine alligator or calfskin strap will last much longer than a traditional leather watch strap.

Can I shower with bracelets?

There should be no problem whatsoever with water. Make sure to rinse the bracelet off after showering or swimming to remove any soap/chlorine residue. Several of our customers wear the bracelet around the clock.

Can leather string get wet?

Leather watch straps can become stained, discolored, or deteriorate prematurely if they are exposed to water. The first thing to do if your leather strap gets wet is to gently brush the water off of it. To dry the strap, pat it gently with an absorbent cloth and allow it to air dry. Never use a hair dryer to hasten the process!

There are many different ways to color leather bracelets. The color of your bracelet may fade or peel off if you wear it while swimming or showering frequently. When leather is exposed to water for an extended period of time, it can begin to mold. Mold can grow on your leather bracelet if it gets wet and doesn’t dry properly.

Can a braided leather bracelet get wet?

You may want to avoid wearing your leather bracelet in the shower or while swimming because it can strip the leather’s surface of its natural oils. As the leather dries, it can become stiff and even crack.
