Cockroaches are commonly found in rooms of the house where there have been sinks and drainage, such as in the bathroom, kitchenette, or laundry room, among other places. There are no screens on your vents. Roaches can’t squeeze through because of this restriction. Sealing the areas surrounding the vents is also a good idea. The vents have cracks or are otherwise damaged. Cracked vents allow more than simply insects to enter a home. If the bend is destroyed, larger pests like rats may be able to wriggle inside.

Relocated American cockroaches may infiltrate buildings as a result of sewer system repairs. Large holes surrounding outdoor drainage lines and sewage vents should be sealed or protected with screens. Fill the holes with firmly compacted steel wool as little more than a temporary filling again until openings can be fully sealed.

Make sure to allow enough space for the vent covering to be able to close properly and not become trapped in the sticky caulk. Roaches may be able to gain access to your ducts if they appear to have openings in them within the wall with which you can reach them. You may place a piece of screen fabric beneath the vent to keep them from coming in. A silicone adhesive gun would have been quite useful in this situation.
