Beer traps don’t make slugs drunk and happy, as is commonly believed. Slugs can’t swim, and if you tempt them with tasty yeast, they’ll succumb to your temptation. You’ll have to empty the trap of drowned slugs on a regular basis and keep the beer level high to keep the slugs at bay.
