Theoretically, a ceiling fan can be dimmed using a dimmer switch. Because ceiling fans can easily overheat and cause a fire, standard dimmer switches should not be used to control them. Ceiling fan motors can also be harmed by them. Use a dimmer switch designed specifically for ceiling fans to avoid these problems.

Are ceiling fan LED lights dimmable?

LED bulbs are not dimmable in this fan. Only if an incandescent bulb or dimmable LED light is used can the light be dimmed. It is not possible to dim a CFL bulb. To dim the light, you’ll need a remote and receiver or wall controller.
