Can You Do Smores On A Gas Fireplace?

Writer Andrew Davis

Roasting marshmallows over an open flame is one of the most enjoyable aspects of sitting around a beautiful fire. While we appreciate the stunning craftsmanship, dancing flames, and peaceful environment that come with our gas fire pits, there are few things more satisfying than roasting a marshmallow to a golden brown perfection on the grill.

The burner and fire media should be cleaned regularly to ensure that the burner ports remain clean. Gas fire pit tables are UL classified as a display gas device, so they should not be used for cooking. Because gas fire pit flames are simpler to regulate and much more regular than those of wood-burning flames, you could become a roasted mallow expert with little effort on your part. It doesn’t matter whether you choose a single burner or embark on a DIY fire pit project; you can still use it to roast marshmallows over a fire. While a toasted marshmallow is a delicious treat on its own, sharing s’mores with friends and family around a campfire is a wonderful tradition.

You can enhance the flavour of the campfire sandwich by spreading some chocolate or nut butter on the bread before assembling it. If you want to add a little extra sweetness, drizzle some honey or caramel on top. If you have a fantastic edible cookie dough recipe, you may substitute a serving of your favourite cookie dough for the regular cookie dough. Putting fruit to your S’mores, like strawberries, bananas and various fruits, can bring things to a whole new level in terms of nutrition. S’mores are made even better with the addition of nuts, such as pecans or almond slices, for an unexpected salty twist. If you are an even bigger fan of salty-sweet delights, crispy bacon makes everything taste even more delicious.
