Freezing Fresh Frog Legs

1. Preparing

After preparing the legs of the frog You will need to soak them in saltwater for at least a day. This step is required prior to placing the frogs in the freezer. If the veins are immersed in saltwater they will accomplish two things. One is that it makes the veins that were black turn translucent. In addition, saltwater brines the legs of frogs. They will remain wet while cooking them.

2. Wrapping

After it has been immersed in salted water for the duration of a day then wrap each leg in Clingfilm. It is possible to double wrap them to protect them.

Freezing Cooked Frog Legs

1. Cooling Down

Let the legs of the frog cool to ambient temperature. It is not advisable to store them when it’s hot or hot inside the freezer. If you don’t, the heat generated by the legs of the frog can cause condensation inside the container when it’s freezing. The moisture then causes the legs of the frogs to turn soft.

2. Storage

When the legs of the frog are cooling down, place them in an airtight container and freezer bags. Be sure not to put too much in a place where they will become squished. If you are using an airtight container your lid’s seal for imperfections. If none are present fix the lid of the container securely.

3. Label and Freeze

With a marker, mark the date of the freezing process on the bag or container. After that, place them in the freezer to store them. To remove frozen frog legs, place them in the fridge. This is the best method to defrost the legs of frogs. When you allow it to melt in the refrigerator so that the legs can thaw equally all over.
