This is a personal preference and for that reason, anyone can choose to get a massage as needed. However, it might be painful on the site where the acupuncture needles were. If you would like to get a massage, we recommend that you wait for 2-4 days after your session and avoid vigorous massages and hot stone treatments.
Silky Terrier Dog Breed Playing Aro... Silky Terrier Dog Breed Playing AroundIf you are considering getting a massage, then it would be a good idea to bring a friend. This way you can feel more comfortable and relaxed.
Here are some other things that you might want to consider:
A licensed massage therapist should have proper training in techniques for giving massages, including soft tissue manipulations, relaxation, and soft tissue mobilization.
Under no circumstances should your massage therapist put you in any unusual positions that might hurt your joints or spine.
If you are getting a massage for the first time, then it is always better to opt for light pressure, and would be even better if your therapist uses lotions or oils during the session.
Do not feel bad if you do not like the massage. It is completely natural to feel nervous about this. But, remember there are many different kinds of massages available; so if one does not work well for you, try another one!
After your session asks yourself how did it go? Did you enjoy it? If yes, then consider getting regular sessions done.
