Can a graduate student join a chapter? Fraternities and sororities have different policies regarding graduate student membership. Asking the organization directly is always preferable. Graduate students, on the other hand, are not automatically barred from joining a fraternity or sorority.

According to my mother and brother, you can still “pledge” and graduate from high school. Despite the fact that they both pledged undergrad, the members of their grad chapters are pledged.

That’s incorrect. In order to join the sorority as a student, you must be enrolled full-time in an accredited college or university and working toward your first bachelor’s or higher degree, whichever comes first.
