To use oat milk in your mac and cheese, we recommend using unsweetened oat milk. The flavor of mac and cheese is already mild enough without adding flavorings. To make this substitution work, a 1:1 ratio is all that is required.

Can cheese be made from oat milk?

Oat milk cheeses aren’t yet available in American supermarkets, at least not in the form of oat milk cheeses. As far as we’re aware, only Scandinavian countries are currently selling Oatly’s cream cheese-like “oat spread.”
